This post is for a Toyota 22R-E engine, I cannot do the work because I live in an apartment and don't have all the gear in case a bolt, nut or stud is seized.
I am looking for someone HONEST WITH REFERENCES, EXPERIENCED AND REASONABLY PRICED to replace timing chain kit, headgasket, have head examined (& maybe shaved/fixed) and have thermostat housing right bolt hole re-threaded (tapped) by Nova Automotive. Also remove the alternator (5 minute job) for me to replace pair of carbon brushes.
I have all of the parts (most OEM genuine) and supplies neccessary for the job I even have the factory service manual, I need someone to provide the labour & have his/her own place to do it. Must be in Dartmouth as I cannot drive far as temperature will begin to climb about normal.
In North America the 22R & 22R-E s are used in the following:
22R
1981-82 Toyota Corona
1981-83 Celica
1981-87 Toyota pickup (up to 1990 on 2wd)
1984-87 Toyota 4-Runner
22R-E (22REC=California emissions=extra charcoal canister)
1983-85 Celica
1985-95 Toyota pickup
1985-95 Toyota 4-Runner
22RTE (Turbo EFI)
1985-87 Toyota pickup
1985-87 Toyota 4-Runner
Reply back with references, experience detail, and a quote for the overall labour cost, I will pay Nova Automotive for head examination & repairs if needed. Thanks.
