: test for current at the small wire on the starter wen the key is turned to start
: if 12volts, replace starter
: if no current, trace back to key switch

: : bout 3wks ago, i thought i saw white smoke thru the headlights, it smelled like wire burning, then my kid  started my truck with the door key yesterday and its not to start the truck with. i put the truck in gear to back up heared a whinin noise, the truck just died, i went to start it again and nothing. any idea's. thanks.
