Buz in an earlier post of mine about this problem you said I can check engine base timing without a timing light and here is your reply:
"put the crank on the timing mark u want
turn crank while watching dist. rotor
it will be OBVIOUS if rotor duzn't point rite at the proper cap post
u can set the timing this way very close to perfect
if crank is on mark, rotor must point rite at plug post
timing is also e z to read on plugs
with practice "
well what degree do I set the engine crankshaft pulley to? 0, 5 or what?.Thanks.
